Terms & Conditions

Membership in Swiss Club Miami is based on a calendar year, running from January 1 through December 31. Annual dues are non-refundable and are not pro-rated for members who join mid-year.

Memberships automatically renew on January 1 of each year. Members who wish to discontinue their membership should notify the club in writing before the renewal date. Failure to pay dues within the designated grace period may result in membership lapsing.

The club reserves the right to adjust membership dues with reasonable advance notice to all members. Any changes to dues will be communicated via email and announced at club meetings.

All members of Swiss Club Miami are expected to conduct themselves with respect, courtesy, and professionalism at all club events and in all interactions with fellow members, guests, and club staff.

Harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior, or any conduct that negatively impacts the club community will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to verbal abuse, intimidation, and behavior that creates an unwelcoming or hostile environment.

Violations of this code of conduct may result in a warning, suspension of membership privileges, or termination of membership at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

By participating in Swiss Club Miami events and activities, members voluntarily assume all risks associated with such participation. Members agree to hold harmless Swiss Club Miami, its officers, board members, volunteers, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in club events.

The club carries general liability insurance for its organized events; however, members are encouraged to maintain their own personal insurance coverage.

By attending Swiss Club Miami events, members consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. These images and recordings may be used for promotional purposes, including the club website, social media channels, newsletters, and other marketing materials.

Members who wish to opt out of media usage may do so by notifying the club in writing at info@swissclubmiami.org. The club will make reasonable efforts to accommodate opt-out requests, though it cannot guarantee exclusion from all candid event photography.

Swiss Club Miami collects personal information from members solely for the purposes of club operations, including membership management, event coordination, and internal communication.

Member information will not be sold, shared, or distributed to third parties without explicit consent. The club may share limited contact information within the membership directory, which is accessible only to current members.

Members may request to view, update, or delete their personal information at any time by contacting the club at info@swissclubmiami.org.

Swiss Club Miami reserves the right to terminate or suspend any membership at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

• Violations of the Code of Conduct
• Non-payment of membership dues
• Actions detrimental to the club or its members
• Misrepresentation of information during the membership application process

Members subject to termination will be given the opportunity to appeal the decision to the Board of Directors. Refunds of dues are not issued upon membership termination.

Swiss Club Miami may update these terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes in club policies, legal requirements, or operational needs. Members will be notified of material changes via email and/or announcements at club meetings.

Continued membership following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
